Man killed, another injured in shooting at crawfish boil in NE Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One man is dead, and another has been hospitalized after a shooting at a crawfish boil in northeast Houston overnight Sunday, police said.

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident followed an altercation at a family gathering on Bretshire Drive near Homestead.

The shooter shot one victim in the chest and the other victim in the neck and chest, authorities said.

Police said that someone at the gathering drove one victim to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The other victim died, officers said.
