Man killed, 18-year-old wounded after fight led to shooting in north Harris County, deputies say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- One man is dead, and another has been hospitalized after a shooting on Sunday morning, deputies said.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said Precinct 4 deputies responded to the shooting in the 23300 block of Aldine Westfield at 3:30 a.m.

At the scene, deputies found an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound who was alert and able to speak with deputies, HCSO said.

While surveying the area, authorities said they found a second man with gunshot wounds who was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, the injured man and the man killed were involved in a physical altercation that led to a shooting.



Authorities said a third man arrived at the scene and began shooting too. Deputies said he fled the scene on foot.

Investigators said they believe the injured man and the man killed knew each other, but are unsure about their relationship to the third person. Authorities did not release the identities of the men involved in the incident.
