Ground stop lifted at Bush Airport, departures delayed due to thunderstorms, officials say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A ground stop has been lifted at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Wednesday.

Officials initially said all IAH departures were grounded due to thunderstorms. In an update just before 11 a.m., the airport said departures were now delayed for an average of 45 minutes and increasing.



Airport officials urge you to check your flight status using the IAH website.
