HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators have released body camera video that captures part of a high-speed police chase that turned deadly on Highway 6 in July.

Some of the video is intense.

According to court documents, three people were inside a stolen car going 120 mph when it crashed on Highway 6 near Westpark.

The Houston Police Department said one of its officers at the scene tried to avoid hitting another car and fatally struck one of the passengers.

Dashcam video from the patrol car has not yet been released, but an HPD spokesperson told ABC13 the video doesn't exist because the patrol unit was not equipped with a dashcam.
