The storms that swept through the city were the cause of the deaths of dozens of people and caused billions of dollars' worth of damage. It's been two years since the storms, and many of those homes still need repairs.
Now, Houston has set up a repair program that offers up to $100,000 for home repairs and $300,000 for full reconstruction.
The program is only open to homes within the Houston City Limits.
Applicants must also earn at or below 80% of the area median income to be eligible.
Anyone with questions is urged to contact the Housing and Community Development Department at 832-394-6200 or send an email.
