Deputies say Jazmin Cisneros, 28, and Gerardo Gonzalez, 29, showed up at a Spring gas station the night of Aug. 6 seeking help for the girl, who was unresponsive. After spending several days fighting for her life in the hospital, the sheriff's office shared the tragic update on Friday.
Gonzalez and Cisneros have been arrested and charged with injury to a child, according to court documents.

The details that were revealed in court documents days after the alleged beating reveal that Gonzalez admitted to punching the girl in the head and body as well as stomping on her.
Cisneros, according to prosecutors, knew about prior abuse and failed to report it because she didn't want Gonzalez to go to jail.
The girl spent days fighting for her life in the hospital after sustaining the life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff's office.
Updated charges on Gonzalez and Cisneros have not been announced.
