Fargo, which made its official LLWS debut in Friday's game, couldn't overcome early jitters, with a Needville second inning that included back-to-back walks, a hit-by-pitch, a bases-loaded walk, and a steal of home for the 2-0 lead.
Needville's starting pitcher, Easton Ondruch, would allow North Dakota to score two runs in the next half-inning, thanks to a two-run RBI single.
Needville's money inning was the fourth, when passed balls in back-to-back plate appearances brought a run in each, pulling Texas ahead, 4-2. Then, with two baserunners on, Cade Hammons doubled to deep left to drive in two more runs, extending the lead, 6-2.
