Diana Linda Obiyo, 35, allegedly left her daughter inside the car for an hour "in temperatures exceeding 95 degrees without adult supervision" on Monday while she shopped at the Walmart on South Post Oak, according to court documents.
Thankfully, a woman who saw the child sweating in the locked car was able to get her to unlock the door, according to officials. Witnesses describe the girl as appearing weak.
The prosecutor in the case told the judge that the child is also currently receiving treatment at MD Anderson for cancer.
Eyewitness News was told that the child is OK and CPS is involved.
Obiyo has been charged with endangering a child. She posted her $10,000 bond on Wednesday.
ABC13 went to the home listed as Obiyo's address, but a woman at the home said no one by that name lived there.
