Pearland Little League, which punched its ticket to Williamsport, Pennsylvania on Wednesday as the Southwest Region champ, found out its first opponent: a team whose home is just 105 miles away from the iconic tournament site.

Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, claimed victory on Friday to win the Mid-Atlantic Region of the United States Championship bracket.

The two teams face off next Thursday at 6 p.m. CT, with ABC13 sister network ESPN2 airing the game.
The tournament is double-elimination, meaning if Pearland is on the losing end of this game, they would have at least one more matchup to play.
The winner of this game plays against the winner of a game that's being played Friday, with the opponent either being the West, Northwest, or Metro region team. This game would be played Monday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. CT.

Conversely, the loser of the Pearland-Hollidaysburg matchup heads to the elimination bracket to face the loser of the game between the Southeast and New England representatives. This game will be played Saturday, Aug. 20. at 6 p.m. CT.
The United States Championship game is set for Saturday, Aug. 27. The World Series Championship game, which pits the U.S. and International bracket winners, is on Sunday, Aug. 28.
