HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Volunteers are making sure Houston's homeless are not forgotten this holiday season.

A Pennsylvania-based company dropped off numerous Christmas trees to the homeless camp on Congress Avenue.

People at the camp said they are grateful.

"It makes me feel like the homeless do have hope of getting out of their situation and bringing some Christmas cheer to us," a woman said.

Houston's homeless population has been at the center of recent debates with city officials.
