As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, several cars were seen already in line for a food distribution at NRG Stadium. The gates weren't set to open until 7 a.m. and the distribution was set to start at 9 a.m. One woman, who also happens to be the first in line, said she's been there since 2:20 a.m.

The woman asked to be kept anonymous, but she did tell ABC13 that she's there because she has four kids, a mother and a brother to feed.

Since the winter storm last week, she said she's lost a lot but she's thankful for her neighbors.

"We've got neighbors, and we help each other," she said.

Also in Houston, Mattress Mack will be holding a Food Bank distribution Tuesday at Gallery Furniture North Freeway. It is set to run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the parking lot located at 6006 N. Freeway.

This food distribution drive was sponsored by Work Texas at Gallery Furniture and Neighborhood Schools, Inc.

If you're still need in need of water, Rockets staff members will be handing out cases of bottled water Tuesday at the Toyota Center. The drive-thru distribution starts at 11 a.m.

Staff will also provide free hand sanitizer and face masks.

Katy ISD is offering regular curbside service on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at all curbside locations.

On Feb. 24, Lucille's 1913, a nonprofit founded by chef Chris Williams, will distribute 4,000 meals in Richmond and Rosenberg. Fort Bend County Judge KP George is expected to be on hand to assist.

While the boil water notice has been lifted for Houston and many communities, it's still in effect for some small water systems. Check with your MUD or water provider before using the water to drink or cook.
