This comes as the intense search for Francisco Oropesa enters day three. Oropesa is accused of killing his five neighbors, including an 8-year-old boy, in San Jacinto County, about 45 miles north of Houston.
He has been on the run since Friday night.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said that a man who was possibly Oropesa was spotted in the area.

Deputies added that there is no confirmation that the man who resembles the wanted mass shooting suspect is Oropesa. In an update at 4:35 p.m., the sheriff's office said, "All persons in the area were investigated, and none were found to be Oropesa."

The district sent updated messages to parents from 2:54 p.m. until 3:33 p.m., saying that "all students and staff are safe within the buildings."
ABC13 was at there at 4, and dismissal was underway.
Parents told Eyewitness News they don't like the traffic created due to the delays, but were happy Conroe ISD kept students safe.
"It's crazy, but I'm glad they had the kids on lockdown today," Grace Perry said while waiting to pick up her child.

If you see someone who looks like Oropesa, you are urged to call 911.
Police described him to be 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds, and has a distinct tattoo of a woman on his arm.
Including this weekend's deadly shooting, there have been 16 mass shootings in Texas, where four or more people were shot or killed, according to the Gun Violence Archive, an independent research group.
In 2022, there were 50 mass shootings in Texas, and the year before that, there were 57.
