HARRIS COUNTY, (KTRK) -- A paraprofessional aide has been terminated from Sheldon Independent School District after violating the electronic communication policy, the district announced.

According to a release, the aide is under investigation after allegedly making inappropriate comments to a student on social media.

The aide worked on a grade 9 campus and helped the boys' basketball team.

Families of students at the campus were notified immediately and were told to report any improper contact to administrators.
The district says that they take this matter seriously, and there is an ongoing investigation.
