Meet Leigh Smith

Leigh Smith moved to Houston with her husband Reggie in 1995 after meeting in law school at the University of Georgia. She enjoyed being a litigator but most enjoys her role as mother and partner to Reggie, the love of her life! Her philanthropy focus addresses homelessness and poverty in Houston, along with supporting the arts. She has been highly active at River Oaks Baptist and Episcopal High School. Leigh served on the board and chaired galas for Trees of Hope, EAC (Emergency Aid Coalitions) and Houston Ballet. She's on the Advisory Board of Star of Hope, Asia Society, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Paul's Methodist Church and Houston Seminar. In 2017 she co-chaired the Nutcracker Market Luncheon and Menil Collections 30th Anniversary Ball. She is Vice Chair of the Arts Alliance Board and chair of the Temporary Art Committee of HAA. Together the Smiths have been honored as Art Patrons of the Year by Art League Houston and at a Fresh Arts Gala. Leigh is most proud and humbled by her children, Ross, Sarah and Sam. Her hope is to better their world leading her children to a life of compassion and caring.
