Woman survives attempted murder-suicide in east Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police say a woman survived an attempted murder-suicide in east Houston Thursday night.

The incident occurred at a home on Louisville near Uvalde Street around 5:30 p.m.

Investigators found a man dead with a gunshot wound to the head, and the woman shot in the back.

Detectives have not yet released the relationship between the two, but believe the man fired the shots.

The woman was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
