Woman shot along Highway 6 in west Houston
SkyEye over the scene captured an active scene fixed on a shopping strip Thursday afternoon.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A shooting that left bullet holes in the windshield of a car Thursday afternoon resulted in a woman being wounded in west Houston.

Houston police said they received a call of the incident at about 2:40 p.m. in the 1800 block of S. Highway 6, just south of Briar Forest Drive.

According to police, a female in a vehicle was shot. She was taken to the hospital.

Police later elaborated the shooting was domestic-related and that the victim is in her mid 20s. She is expected to survive, according to HPD.

Police did not immediately give details on what led to the shooting. A description of the shooter was also not released.

SkyEye over the scene captured multiple HPD vehicles at a shopping center.
