Woman killed in crash involving a suspected drunk driver in east Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police believe a man ran a blinking red light at McCarty Road and Market Street when he crashed into a woman's truck.

The driver, Isreal Suarez Lugo, has been charged with intoxication manslaughter after the 5-year-old died.

He slammed into her vehicle around 12:30 a.m. Monday. She was killed.

Police say the man showed signs of intoxication.
