Yates High School Lions face punishment for using ineligible players

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The Yates High School Lions will forfeit their wins this season after being caught using ineligible players.

Yates used ineligible players in their 37-26 win over rival Wheatley High School last week.

Now as punishment, Yates will forfeit their win over Wheatley, as well as their other win over the Washington High School Eagles.

Yates football head coach Michael Watkins has also been suspended.
