HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Right on the heels of a day with widespread storms on Wednesday, SE Texas has another chance for thunderstorms today. Temperatures this morning are starting off a bit on the cooler side with most locations in the mid 60s, with high temperatures warming in to the mid 80s this afternoon. Scattered storms will pop in the late morning to early afternoon, and a few could be severe, but the threat of area-wide severe weather like we saw yesterday is low.
On Friday a weak front will move in, keeping the humidity at a manageable level, but high temperatures will still reach the mid/upper 80s. Rain chances will remain low with the drier air in place.
This weekend we will see temperatures climb back in to the 90s, kicking off a stretch of mostly dry and hot weather that will last in to next week.
