Houston firefighters prepare for high water rescues
High water rescue vehicles are being prepped in West University as Houston braces for possible flooding with Tropical Storm Imelda.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- As Houston braces for possible flooding from Tropical Storm Imelda, firefighters are busy getting high water rescue vehicles ready.

At HFD Station 37 on Stella Link, which serves the areas of West University, Meyerland and Bellaire, crews pulled out its rescue vehicle to make sure everything is in order for Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Its high water rescue vehicle was donated by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation a year and a half ago after Hurricane Harvey.

The goal now for these firefighters is to keep everyone safe during the storm.
