Front brings storms, colder temperatures to Houston

The jet stream pattern is changing, and Meteorologist Travis Herzog says that means active weather is coming for Houston this weekend followed by colder temperatures next work week.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible both Friday and Saturday as jet stream disturbances blow overhead. A cold front blowing in Sunday will bring a line of heavy storms followed by cool, breezy weather Monday.

Travis says a wavy jet stream pattern developing across the Pacific Ocean could bring us our first Canadian cold front later in the week, possibly pushing Houston's temperatures into the 40s for the first time since March 15th!
