2 rescued after cars wash away in heavy floodwaters in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (KTRK) -- Two people in Austin were rescued after heavy flooding caused vehicles to wash away.

Before entering Houston, the same storm system hit the Austin area, causing severe flooding along the way.

Firefighters say they rescued two people overnight who were caught in the floodwaters.

According to officials, no one was seriously injured.
