DOWNTOWN HOUSTON -- Hundreds of students participated in Walk 2 Vote. The non-partisan event was an opportunity for eligible voters to early vote in downtown Houston.

Ashley Turner, Mayor Turner's daughter, encouraged students to vote.

The student-led voting campaign was created by the Student Government Association to inspire and motivate college students to vote.

ABC-13 and Univision 45 were community sponsors of this year's event.
