Sights and sounds from the Uptown Holiday Lighting
Half a million lights are shining bright after Houstonians packed the streets of Uptown for a special holiday lighting celebration.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Half a million lights illuminate Post Oak Boulevard tonight after the 30th Annual Uptown Tree Lighting Celebration.

A gorgeous fireworks display and holiday festivities drew an estimated 250,000 Houstonians together.

abc13 photojournalist Francisco Barragan and reporter Foti Kallergis caught a special view of the celebration for your enjoyment here.

By the way, an interesting side note: Care to guess how much it costs to run half a million lights for an entire month?

The Uptown District says it will cost them $8,000.
