SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Ride hailing company Uber has begun providing helicopter rides in Brazil biggest city.

Uber's communications director in Brazil tells CBN radio that it's started a monthlong trial of the Ubercopter service between airports, hotels and convention centers.

Fabio Sabba says the service is operating from five helipads and four hotels. Uber has launched similar services in a few other markets.

Sabba says Ubercopter is a partnership with the Airbus Group and uses three helicopter operators in Sao Paulo. He said Tuesday that prices range from $17 to $80 a seat.

An email request to Sabba for more details went unanswered.
