Two 14-year-olds crash pickup trying to flee the country, deputies say

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KTRK) -- Police say two 14-year-olds wrecked a pickup truck while trying to flee the country.

The teenagers crashed the vehicle after a 10-minute chase in San Antonio Monday morning.

The two teens from Rosenberg had been reported missing.

Police say the boyfriend and girlfriend took a relative's pickup truck without permission.

Officials say their plan was to drive all the way to Honduras, where they have relatives.
