GALVESTON, TX (KTRK) -- Motorcycle riders from around the country are already descending on Galveston for the Lone Star Rally Weekend. Organizers say hundreds of vendors are set up around the Strand and Pier 21 for eating, drinking, shopping and showing off motorcycles. There will also be entertainment throughout the event, according to Mark Gray of the Lone Star Rally, "Doctors, lawyers, you know everybody's riding, and even this rally is friendly to the families."
The Galveston County District Attorney's Office is urging everyone to be safe, and announced a No-Refusal Program for the weekend. Local judges will be available around the clock to expedite warrants for blood draws, if law enforcement deems them necessary for DWI investigations.
