Alaska Airlines CEO Bradley Tilden admits airline lost his bag

Alaska Airlines recently launched a new campaign touting how well it handles your bags.

But it seems the crew handling bags for the airline's CEO didn't read the memo.

Chief Executive Bradley Tilden admitted on stage at an airline summit that Alaska Airlines misplaced his bag during his flight to the summit. And according to the LA Times, it's not the first time that's happened to him. The CEO admitted the airline lost his bag on another flight 25 years ago.

It's a pretty embarrassing situation for the airline, which recently became the nation's first major carrier to offer a guarantee to deliver your bag within 20 minutes of reaching the gate. The guarantee provides a $25 credit if the bags don't arrive in time.

Tilden didn't say whether he got the credit when his bag went missing.
