AC13's Katherine Whaley has parking and transportation options for the Day for Night attendees.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Day for Night Art and Music Festival kicks off Friday at the old Barbara Jordan post office on 401 Franklin Friday afternoon.

Over 20,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event. If you are planning to go, you'll want to consider your transportation options.

There are two METRORail stops, each just a ten minute walk from the festival grounds.

METRO's green line makes a stop at the Theater District Station.

And METRO's red line stops at UH-Downtown.

You can also park and ride for free at the Northline Transit Center for $3 per vehicle or you can park at the Fannin South Park and Ride.

Parking is available on streets adjacent to Main, but watch out for no parking signs and permit-only parking. Be sure to download the Park Mobile app to pay using your phone.
