Cement and oil spilled onto the westbound lanes near Fannin St. Friday morning, causing major delays.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The westbound lanes of the South 610 Loop remain closed into the afternoon, hours after a crash involving a cement truck.

The incident was originally reported at 8:30 a.m. Friday near the Fannin Street exit.

Cement and a small oil spill covered the westbound lanes, HPD said.

As of 12:30 p.m., heavy traffic was still in the area. It's not immediately known how long the lanes will be tied up.
