Overturned 18-wheeler spills fruit into Hunting Bayou along North Loop feeder

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An 18-wheeler hauling produce plunged into Hunting Bayou.

Fruit, including watermelon, spilled out of the truck as the trailer went into the bayou from the North Loop feeder near Kelley around 2 a.m. Friday. The cab stayed on the road.

Freeway lanes aren't impacted, but the clean-up is expected to take some time.

No serious injuries have been reported.
