Man killed in fiery car crash overnight

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was killed in a fiery crash in northwest Houston overnight.

It happened on the feeder road of the Sam Houston Tollway near Little York around 10 p.m.

A man, Gary Johnson, crashed his car into a concrete pillar. The car then caught fire.

People who saw the crash tried to rescue the man, but were unable. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
