Wreck cleared after truck accident and fuel spill blocked I-10

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- At 10:16am, a heavy truck was involved in an accident on I-10, the Katy Freeway, westbound at I-45.

This caused the vehicle to overturn and 50 gallons of diesel to spill on the highway. Along with that, the wreck caused damage to the concrete barrier.

All main lanes of the I-10 Katy Freeway at I-45 westbound are blocked due to this accident, and TxDOT says it will take some time to clear.

Two hours after the accident, the freeway cleared at 12:17pm.
