HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Apparently, traffic is so bad in the Houston area that one of the city's law enforcement leaders is having to help.
Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo was pictured directing traffic at Memorial and Shepherd Wednesday afternoon.
The lights were acting up, so officers had to manage drivers.
Acevedo later tweeted, "If you think being stuck in traffic is tough, try directing it. Let's be patient, kind and courteous to one another. #FinishStrong."
Drivers have been extremely frustrated lately about the traffic situation because of road closures due to high water from Hurricane Harvey.
It has taken some people three to four hours just to get home.
