Toyota develops tiny talking robot to keep you company while driving
A newly-announced 4-inch gizmo can chat away and even respond to facial expression as you drive.

Toyota wants to sell you a talking robot to keep you company while you drive.

The automaker describes the robot, named Kirobo Mini, as "a miniature communication partner [...] developed to provide companionship."

The 4-inch gizmo can chat away and even respond to facial expressions. It can remember likes and dislikes, as well as journeys you've taken together.

The robot can be linked up to cars and gadgets in the home, and it's small enough to fit in your cup holder.

Toyota plans to sell Kirobo in Japan next year for about $400.
