TOMBALL, TX -- Sienna Bernal is a tiny girl with a big voice making a difference by standing tall.

The 16-year old Tomball resident recently spoke at a town hall meeting with U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady about the difficulties of living as a primordial dwarf. Primordial Dwarfism is a type of dwarfism resulting in a smaller body size beginning from birth.

Besides being a rare twin with PD, Bernal also was diagnosed with Dandy Walker, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and hearing impairment. During the meeting she shared how as a "little person" it is difficult to wash her hands safely and independently in public restrooms. Bernal hopes Brady can offer a louder voice on educating public facilities about the difficulty "little people" face when trying to wash their hands at public sinks. She asked if he could help primordial dwarfs get step stools put in public restrooms.

"He can assist in obtaining wider success of either lower sinks or step stool installation," she said. "I have friends who have Dwarfism and are much shorter than I am; it's hard to reach the sink in public restrooms without being picked up or climbing on the cabinet."
