HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- A toddler was ejected from a vehicle onto concrete this morning in west Harris County after the child's mother ran a stop sign, authorities say.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the mother's vehicle was hit by the driver who had the right of way at the intersection of Deermoss at Wildoats Dr.

Both the mother and the baby were transported to the hospital, but everyone is expected to be OK.

HCSO says the unidentified mother will be given multiple citations.
