HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A burglar ransacked a home in the Timbergrove Manor neighborhood in northwest Houston this week after shutting off the power to the house.

It happened Tuesday morning around 9:45am off TC Jester. The homeowner's security camera captured clear images of the suspect before he turned off the power and cut the wires to the security alarm.

According to the Houston Police Department, the man got away with jewelry, watches and a gaming system along with other expensive items.

The homeowner did not want to be identified, but she said one item the man stole holds significant sentimental value to her family. They are checking pawn shops in the area to see if they find it.
