HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Three suspects have been charged in the theft of a 3-year-old special needs child's electric toy car.

Deputy investigators have charged Jerry Lynn Thompson II, 28; Elica Reyna, 18; and Maher Al-Saedi, 17, with theft.

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators say that on January 26 Reyna was dared by suspects Thompson and Al-Sadei to take the toy car. Reyna allegedly walked into the front yard of the residence and carried the toy back to their car.

Investigators were able to get a rear license plate of the vehicle from surveillance video from a neighbor's home. They learned that Thompson was driving the vehicle and after interviewing him, Thompson told deputies of the other two suspects' part in taking the toy car.

All three suspects have open warrants.
