Father and son dead in apparent murder-suicide in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (KTRK) -- A father and son from The Woodlands are dead in what the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is calling a murder-suicide.

This happened on Ash Branch Court off Lake Woodlands Drive Tuesday night.

Deputies say a family member found James Gregory Crawford, 65, in bed with a gunshot wound.

Officials searched the house and found the father, James Milford Crawford, 90, also dead after being shot.

Deputies believe James Gregory shot his father one time before shooting himself.

Family members say the father had been dealing with dementia.
