Here's some advice on how to weather the travel home from the Thanksgiving holiday

The holiday season is upon us, and that means many people will be leaving town by sky and on the road.

So if you are flying out or picking up a loved one from the airport here are some tips.

Arrive two hours early before your flight and check in on the flight status to see if your flight is on time.

Also be ready in the security line with your boarding pass out and make sure you don't have anything, like a water bottle, that could slow down the line.

If you're planning on driving back today from grandma's house, you could see quite a bit of traffic.

Experts say Sunday is the worst day to hit the road with a 240% increase in traffic jams. Monday is also expected to busy as well. Experts say it's the second busiest travel day of the holiday weekend.
