DEER PARK, TX (KTRK) -- Starting this week in Deer Park, if you're caught texting and driving or using any electronic device behind the wheel, you will be pulled over.

That's because a new ordinance that was passed over the summer begins October 1. For a month, drivers will get warnings, but starting in November 1, drivers will receive tickets.

The fine could be up to $200.

Drivers can still use a hands-free device.
