Texas Rangers raid Liberty County constable's office
Liberty County Pct. 6 Constable John Joslin's office was raided as part of an investigation with the Public Integrity Division of the Jefferson County DA's Office.

LIBERTY COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Investigators with the Texas Rangers raided the office of Liberty County Pct. 6 Constable John Joslin around 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, related to an investigation with the Public Integrity Division of the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office. The investigation was confirmed by Gary Reaves, chief of the Public Integrity Unit.

Reaves could not say provide any specific details about what led to the raid on Joslin's office; however, one month ago the Jefferson County DA's Public Integrity Unit was involved in an investigation that led to the arrest of 43-year-old Mickey Gelagotis of Beaumont on a charge of impersonating an officer.

Gelagotis is linked to the constable's office because he was said to be an honorary deputy for the agency, even being recognized with Joslin at a Dec. 4, 2013, Houston Rockets game. However, Gelagotis is not a licensed law enforcement officer.
