US-290 closure: What you need to know

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Texas Department of Transportation has recently changed the total closure of US-290 to an overnight closure through February 5, from 9pm-5am. Previously, the closure was scheduled to be over weekends.

DETOUR:

If you're driving inbound on 290, you will be forced onto the WB lanes of I-10. Detour by making a U-turn at Chimney Rock, and then take I-10 inbound to 610 SB.

If you're trying to go outbound on 290, you will be forced onto 610 North Loop EB, exit at T.C. Jester, and U-turn continue to 290 outbound feeder.
