Police investigating after 16-year-old shot and killed in NW Houston

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A teen is dead after being shot at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.

According to HPD, the incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. when a 16-year-old was shot at the 1500 block of Big Bend Dr.

Police say the teen was shot by someone inside a truck.

The teen was declared dead at the hospital.

We do not know what led up to the shooting or whether police know who opened fire.
