HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Five years after a tragic death, a Houston mother continues to plead for help to find the hit-and-run driver who killed her daughter.

Lauren Wallace, 19, was found dead in a grassy area near the East Freeway and Normandy on September 5, 2010.

Police believe she was hit by a dark-colored, 2003 to 2005 Toyota Camry.

On Saturday, her friends and family returned to the area to pass out flyers and hold signs asking for information about the crash.

"I know someone had to have seen what happened to her, and I just want them to come clean. Whoever did this to her, we need them to come clean. Please let us know so we can have justice and give us peace," Paula Wallace told Eyewitness News.

Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case. If you have any information, call 713-222-TIPS.
