Nintendo to release mini Nintendo Entertainment System in November

Nintendo's first video game console is making a comeback - only smaller. Nintendo is releasing a miniature, collector's edition of the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES just in time for the holidays.

The company made the announcement on Twitter.

The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition, will launch in stores on Nov. 11th and will cost $59.99. The mini NES connects to your TV via a HDMI cable.

The new NES looks just like the one we remember from our childhood, only it's a lot tinier and you will not need those classic game cartridges. According to a press release, the mini NES comes with 30 games built into the system and there's a little something for everyone. Some of the titles include Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and The Legend of Zelda.

You can even enjoy playing several of these games with two players by attaching a second NES Classic Controller, which will be sold separately for about $9.99.

The new controller will also connect to a Wii Remote, so that you can use it to play Virtual Console games on a Wii or Wii U.
