SWAT standoff underway in southeast Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A SWAT scene is underway in southeast Houston, where a suspect is barricaded inside a structure.

It's happening at a home in the 200 block of Grace Street. According to police, just before noon, they were called to an assault in progress. Apparently a person had shown up at the home to borrow a lighter from a resident.

Both people went downstairs, where an altercation occurred. The person who lived at the home went and got a gun and fired shots at the visitor, who then ran away.

Police are on the scene, trying to determine if the shooter is still inside.
