Here's what Super Bowl visitors said about the Bayou City

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Thousands of people flocked to Houston for Super Bowl LI from all over the country and in some cases the world. How did all these visitors feel about their visit to the Bayou City?

With many fans traveling from Massachusetts and the surrounding New England area, many were quick to comment on the favorable climate.

The Patriots parade on their way out of Boston saw snow, sleet and rain, but once they arrived here all they had to complain about was Houston's formidable humidity.

Visitors were most enamored by the beautiful Discovery Green and it's 10 days of activities leading up to the Super Bowl.

Many of the families were happy that the go-to place for many of the Super Bowl related festivities this week wasn't a swanky nightclub or a hard to get into restaurant, but a popular 12-acre park.

Discovery Green didn't even exist the last time Houston hosted the big game in 2004.

Most remarked on by visitors were the people of Houston. This was their first trip to Houston for many fans and they were surprised at how readily locals were willing to provide directions, recommendations and just chat about their excitement for the Super Bowl.
