HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Houston police chased two men accused of stealing a sports car.

A man flagged down an HPD officer around 12:30am this morning on Irvington at the North Loop and told the officer two men had just stolen his Camaro at gunpoint. The officer quickly put a description of the vehicle out over police radios.

Another officer then spotted the stolen vehicle on North Shepherd at Pinemont. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver took off, eventually losing control and crashing into a light pole on North Shepherd at Victory.

Both men inside the vehicle were arrested and now face multiple charges. Police say the gun the men used in the carjacking was fake.
